Vocal Area Network's Download-This-Event feature is built around the vCalendar/iCalendar Internet standard (RFC 2445) for exchanging schedule information (see http://www.imc.org/pdi/vcaloverview.html for an overview). The standard is supported by most current calendar software applications, among them Microsoft Outlook, Palm Desktop and Lotus Organizer. (If you're a Mac user, we apologize for the lack of Mac screen shots. Send us some and we'll gladly add them to the help file.) Here's what to do:
STEP 1

Click the "D" icon in the listing you wish to download to your computer's calendar. (Netscape users: right-click the "D" icon, choose "Save Link As" and then proceed to step 3b.)

If the dialogue boxes in STEP 3 don't open automatically, your computer may not be set up to recognize vCalendar files (files with .vcs file extensions). Repeat STEP 1. At STEP 2, choose "Save" (Windows XP) or "Save this file to disk" (Windows 9x). Then skip to STEP 3b.

STEP 3b

Microsoft Outlook:
Use File/Import and the Import and Export Wizard to import the file you saved in STEP 2. The event will be added to your calendar.
